Founder's Message
 |
In the spring of 2005, I was inspired by the eloquent writings of Mark Satin. In his book, "The Radical Middle," Satin implores his readers, each in his/her own way, to "make a difference." We vow to do just that.
In November 2005, we unveiled our Mission Statement at a Board of Directors meeting and People Care 4 Day Care was born. We incorporated in April of 2006. On September 23, 2006 this Web site was launched.
Never could we have come so far, so fast, without the help of the following people [my friends and loved ones, all] and the entire Board of Directors: Alvin Attles, Mike Edgerley, Diane Satin, Phillip Tyko, Genevieve Cross, Daniel Wedgewood, Peter Abramov, Nancy Nadel, Angela Milash, Douglas Read, Matt E. Wilder, Kaysey Tonk, James Abel, Fred Karp, Ken McGee and Robert Whitfield.
Katherine Ito attended our Board of Directors meeting in April, 2006. Weeks later, she fell ill and passed away. She will never be forgotten and her spirit lives on through the work we do. Rest in peace, Kathy.
